We first came here before the park was actually known in Arizona. Now the park is almost finished, but growing as they become more popular. I was told that this year, they hope to put in a massive restaurant, and next year there will be a hotel added to the park.
Even still, we expected to drive through, see what there was and leave within an hour. It was only a stopping point on the way to the Grand Canyon. We were actually there almost 2 hours and easily could have stayed longer. The animals in the park are amazing! They will walk right up to your car! It’s weird actually going to a zoo and SEEING animals in Arizona. Of course, no Bearizona would be complete without a plethora of , what else? Bears! Along with the wolfs, bison, otters and other adorable creatures, there were so many bears, it was unbelievable. Baby bears, Mama bears, lazy bears, bears fighting, bears pacing, bears… eh hem… ‘cuddling’. We saw a lot of bears, and all in different areas, so they would interact differently, everywhere you went.
If you have a chance, go check out Bearizona, it’s worth the drive. Plus, it’s right outside of historic Williams and about 40 minutes from the Grand Canyon, and Flinstones park… a great weekend get away!
